Would you Like a glass of ICED GREEN TEA?

How to make the perfect Iced Green TEA came from http://www.worldconsortium.com/brewing.htm website.

4) Iced Green Tea
You should never brew Green Tea with hot water and then cool it to prepare cold, or iced tea. Instead, please double the amount of the Green Tea leaves used to brew it in cold water in a sealed container. This way you keep the aroma, the natural color and the medicinal health benefits of the Green Tea. The reason this way is better, is that you avoid oxidation that can occur if the tea is left open to the air in an attempt to cool it after hot brewing. The brewing time is actually very short. For example, 10-15 cups of tea can be brewed in a jar in the ice box in just 30-45 minutes. Please note that you can refill the jar with water to brew more tea when the level reaches one third full. You may repeat the same procedure up to 3 times using the same Xianju Green Tea leaves. It is better than drinking water for walkers, runners, cycling, mountain climbing or any athletic sport in general that demands replenishment of body flu

A recipe used in Health Spas.

A recipe I pasted from http://www.care2.com/

Spa Cuisine: Peachy Iced Green Tea - Recipe

Drinking green tea may help you lose weight. According to clinical studies conducted by Dr. Abdul Dulloo, of the University of Geneva in Switzerland, green tea raises metabolic rates and speeds up fat oxidation. Green tea is also a great immune-enhancing health-booster and anti-cancer agent, with flavonoids and polyphenols thought to inhibit tumor formation.
So here is our easy-to-make recipe for green tea, but this one tastes so good you'll never guess how good it is for you! A great, healthy thirst-quencher for hot summer days.
SIMPLE SOLUTION: INGREDIENTS
6 green tea teabags6 cups cold water2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
1. Place teabags in a large teapot or pitcher.
2. Put sliced peaches in a saucepan, add cold water, and bring to a brisk boil, then pour water and peaches over teabags.
3. Steep for 6 minutes, then add sweetener (maple syrup, honey or Succanat are recommended). Allow tea to cool, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
4. Include a few peach slices in each glass and serve with a spoon, garnished with a sprig of mint, if you like.
Even Easier Alternative Method: Make a pitcher of green tea and add the contents of a can of organic sliced peaches. Chill thoroughly.
Makes 6 servings.

Does anyone know if Green Tea helps people with bipolar?

Today I read a hub page by akeejaho, who also has bipolar. He manages his bipolar with natural foods, herbs, and such. Since green tea is made from the leaves of a species of camellia, I wonder would it help in managing mood swings.

Green Tea Ice Cream with Sesame & Caramel Sauce

Here is a great recipe for the Indian Summers of Spring I found and pasted from the greentealovers.com website.

Green Tea Ice Cream with Sesame & Caramel Sauce - From "Cooking with Tea" by Robert Wemischner & Diana Rosen Serves: 8 Prep. time: 20 minutes
Total time: 1 1/2 hours (plus additional chilling time)
Ice Cream
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup green tea leaves
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
Grated rind of 1 lime (reserve the lime for the sauce)
Few drops of vanilla extract

Sesame-Caramel Sauce
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
Juice of 1 lime (reserved from above)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Warm water, as needed, to thin the sauce

You will need an ice cream maker for this recipe. Any green tea, whether finely powdered or whole leaf, can be used. The recipe has a slight green hue.

In a heavy saucepan, bring the milk and tea to a boil. Remove the mix from the heat and infuse for 1 minute. Pour it through a fine-meshed sieve into a heat-proof bowl, pressing hard on the tea leaves to extract as much of the liquid as possible. Put the milk mixture in a clean saucepan, and add the heavy whipping cream, sugar and lime zest. Bring the mix to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves completely, about 5 minutes. Remove it from the heat, cool, then add the vanilla extract. Chill the mixture until it's cold, then freeze it using an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a heavy 1-quart saucepan, bring the sugar, water and lime juice to a boil over medium to high heat. Cook until it's golden brown, swirling the pan a few times, but do not stir. Do not allow the sugar to burn; the mixture should become an amber color. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat the cream until it's warm, then add the cream, a few tablespoons at a time, to the sugar mixture. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to blend, being careful not to splatter, as this mixture foams up the sides of the pan. When the sauce is blended, add the toasted sesame seeds. Because this sesame- caramel sauce will thicken upon standing, thin as needed with warm water prior to serving.
